Students viewed the collection of African Masks at the De Young Museum to gain influence toward the creation of an original African Mask.
Students observed works of art by the glass artist Dale Chihuly as inspiration toward the design of an original sculpture or vessel form

Students create an original landscape in clay using slab construction and Richard Diebenkorn’s geometric style as an influence. Including wood and metal in the piece.
Students create a sculpture or wall piece by researching the artists Carlos Otero and Joanne Greenbaum applying visual aids.
Create a series of three bowls by using an artist of focus. This artist will be used to give direction as to the design of the series of bowls.
