School Counselors will return in August 2025 to follow-up with Dual Enrollment Counselor Requests.
Fall 2025 Enrollment began May 8, 2025.
COMPLETE CCC APPLY & SPECIAL ADMIT FORM
Please read the Dual Enrollment Eligibility criteria and
follow the "Steps to Apply" closely.
You must have started 9th Grade or will be 14 years old by the first-day your college classes start.
You are currently enrolled in high school.
Your unweighted high school grade point average (GPA) is 2.5 or higher (MTHS site recommendation).
Parental consent and school counselor approval is required for the Los Rios' Special Admit E-Form.
Note Well:
Completed courses/grades will not be included on students' high school transcript or to meet graduation requirements.
Performance in college courses can impact students' future financial aid and college admissions.
Step 1: Log into your EGUSD Classlink Portal to access your California Colleges account.
In your portal, click on the icon "California Colleges" to access your account.
Go to College at the top of your screen, click on California Community College Application and input the Los Rios Community College (LRCC) of your choice (American River College, Cosumnes River College, Folsom Lake College, or Sacramento City College) then press blue Launch button.
Step 2: Apply to the LRCC of your choice (to generate a LRCC ID#) and login to set up an e-services account.
New Students, starting Fall 2025 and beyond:
Apply to a LRCC.
Students will be assigned a Los Rios ID number in an email confirmation from the Los Rios Community College District. Your Los Rios w ID number is required and is a seven-digit number with a preceding "W" (e. g. w9992004).
Follow the directions in the email to set up your eServices account.
Proceed to Step 3.
For Returning Students:
Login to eServices and complete the 'Supplemental Enrollment Information Form' located in the Tasks tile.
Skip Step 3 and proceed to Step 4.
Step 3: Set Up eServices and Los Rios Gmail.
eServices is the Los Rios' online student portal where students manage their information, records, classes, and more.
You will use your Los Rios ID and password to log in to multiple services, including Canvas, eServices, Los Rios Gmail, and instructional lab computers.
Step 4: Complete the Dual Enrollment - MTHS School Counselor Request Google Form HERE.
School counselors will advise students based on their Dual Enrollment goals (to obtain transferable credits and/or explore interest areas).
Students may list up to six classes, in order of preference.
Use the Los Rios Class Search Tool to review course options, transferability, course format and course days/times. See the Cal-GETC pattern's Area 3 and 4 list courses that are transferable and can meet four year college degree requirements.
MTHS school counselors strongly recommend students consider their current courseload and focus on 1 course at a time (or 2 courses MAX if course is taken in the Summer semester).
Step 5: Meet with your MTHS School Counselor.
School counselors will set up meetings with students to review courses listed (in Step 4's Google Form).
School counselors will provide information for students who need to LRCC Special Admit E-Form for the first time OR if they have not enrolled for consecutive semesters.
Step 6: Submit the Los Rios Community College (LRCC) Special Admit E-Form.
Select the link to submit the Special Admit E-Form for the only one LRCC campus.
Under "School Official," please list your alpha school counselor's name.
Once submitted, a parent/guardian will receive an email to approve. Once a parent/guardian approves, an email will be sent to the alpha counselor to approve the Special Admit E-Form.
Students who do not attend Dual Enrollment consecutively or skip semester must complete a new Special Admit e-Form (e. g. completed courses in Spring 2025, did not sign up for Summer 2025, but plans to enroll in Dual Enrollment for Fall).
For your reference, MTHS Counselor emails are listed HERE.
Step 7: Check Emails Regularly for correspondence from Los Rios Colleges to address any holds and tasks.
Students will receive a confirmation email with their Enrollment Appointment date and time.
Students may also see their Enrollment Appointment in their eServices -> Manage Classes -> Add a College. Follow Instructions to add the college where you have been approved to take courses for the semester.
Step 8: Pay Your Fees.
Tuition fees and the Universal Transit Pass (UTP) fee are waived for students participating in Dual Enrollment.
Students are responsible for paying any fees. You can see how much you owe on eServices. From your dashboard, check your financial account and then your account balance.
Students can opt out of the student representative fee.
Students are encouraged to check in with their
MTHS School Counselor and LRCC staff as questions or concerns arise.
