GREAT NEWS!!! READING COUNTS IS UP & RUNNING!

Room Rotations - when we return from our off track break, we will be in room R6. Students will bring 3 hardback textbooks home with them during their break: Wonders Anthology, Wonders Reading/Writing Workshop and Impact California (Social Studies). The books were individually checked out to your student and the waiver at the beginning of the year that was signed stated student responsibility for the books. Unfortunately, due to classroom rotations and inadequate storage, your student will need to keep these 3 books with them at home during our off track time. When we return, please have them bring the 3 textbooks back with them. 2 textbooks were sent home on Wednesday and 1 textbook will be sent home with them today, Thursday.

Students will finish the second portion of their test tomorrow.

At Risk Notices:

These notices were emailed home, informing you that your student is at risk based on beginning of the year assessments. As stated in the email, a conference schedule will be available through ParentVue when we return from being off track.

While we’re off track :

Math:

Think Central- Students can preview math chapter 2 by going through math on the spot videos or the animated math models
Xtramath- a perfect time to really focus on those math facts!

Language Arts/Reading

Lexia- students are being tested to determine their current level. While we’re off, your student can continue working through the program

Reading Counts

While we're off track, your student can come take Reading Counts tests up in the office!
