Library Expectations

Our library at Cosumnes Oaks High School is a welcoming and safe space for all students and staff. We hope to see you in our library!

Please respect our school library space by following our library expectations:

• Respect: Treat all students and the library staff kindly and respectfully at all times.

• Food and Drink: No food or liquids, other than clear water, are permitted in the library.  You may leave food items at the front desk if needed.

• Library Environment: Small groups talking softly are acceptable. Groups are limited to the four-chair-per-table guideline. Appropriate noise level shall be determined by library staff. Seating areas in the center of the library are a quiet zone.

• Safety: Our library should be a safe space for everyone. Please refrain from any behavior that is unsafe or disrespectful.

• Students who do not respect the library space and/or do not follow the library expectations will be asked to leave the library for the remainder of that day. Repeated issues will result in loss of additional library privileges or administrative consequences. 

• PAWS Wednesdays:  If you would like to utilize the library during PAWS for quiet reading or study time, please see either Mrs. Howe or Mrs. H for a PAWS 5 Star pass before PAWS on Wednesdays.
