The University of Northern Iowa is a comprehensive public university with 9000 students representing 60+ countries.  UNI offers 90 undergraduate majors and 50 graduate programs as well as an intensive English program.  UNI has been recognized as a “Best Business School” with the AACSB accreditation and is also known for strong programs in education, natural sciences, social sciences, and the arts. Almost all UNI students gain experience in the field before they graduate through internships, research or student club participation.  As a result, 96% of UNI students reported that they were employed or in graduate school within six months of graduating. As a medium-size university, it has a small-school atmosphere, with only an average of 27 students per class, and is in a friendly university community.
