Mid-Sized public research university in the Southeastern US.  We offer over 120 majors across 7 academic colleges.  Engineering is the largest college for undergraduate students and offers 12 different disciplines.  We are test optional for admission and offer strong academic scholarships.  Admission is based upon high school GPA and all students that meet criteria can be admitted.

Located in Starkville, MS we are within 4 hours of Atlanta, GA and New Orleans.  A nearby airport services campus and offers a free shuttle service for all arriving and departing flights.  

We enroll over 1,000 international students from 80 different countries.  Students that are looking for a research university located within small-town Southern US will feel at home here.  A student from a large city recently commented that he enjoyed being able to see the stars at night.  Other than engineering there is significant agriculture research that seeks answers on how to feed a growing world population.   If hand-on learning seems exciting then MSU might be the right fit.
