According to the Open Doors 2024 report, published by the Institute of International Education (IIE):
420 Uruguayan students are currently enrolled in universities and colleges in the United States.
Uruguay ranks 106th among the countries that send the most students to the United States.
The states that receive the most Uruguayan students are: Florida, New York, California, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
URUGUAY'S IMPACT AT OUR FAIRS
In 2025 the EducationUSA South American Fair in Uruguay reached more than 740 students and featured the participation of 12th U.S. Higher Education Institutions.
