P.E School Aims
This year in Physical Education we will be working toward developing the fundamental movement skills that are needed to be able to engage in a range of different physical activities.
Additionally, we are building upon student resiliency and sportsmanship through a variation of different competitive and non-competitive activities.
Junior School: The Junior school will be focusing on the development of their gross motor skills, this will give them a foundation of physically ability which will allow them to participate in more complex activities later in the year.
Middle School: The middle school will be further developing their motor skills and working on the basic rules of a broad range on sports. Furthermore students will be working on their resiliency and reactions to dynamic situations.
Senior School: Senior students are expected to demonstrate control over their motor skills, show an understanding of the basic rules of common sports, and recognize shared elements across different games—such as the roles of attackers and defenders, and the objective of scoring points or preventing scores. There will be a focus on students implementing strategy and communication in order to achieve these goals.
