Term 1 2025

Foundation

Students will be introduced to two units - Lunar New Year and Classroom rules in Term 1. We will embark on a cultural journey with learning units on Lunar New Year and know about the key phrases used in the LOTE  class. 

Year 1 & 2

Students will learn two units - Lunar New Year and Stationary Items in Term 1. We will immerse learners in a captivating fusion of cultures with units on Lunar New Year. Common stationary items in classrooms will be introduced to students in the second half of the term.

Year 3 & 4

Students will embark on a cultural adventure with learning units on Lunar New Year and Pinyin. We will explore the vibrant traditions of the lunar festival, and master the basics of Mandarin pronunciation using Pinyin. 

Year 5 & 6

Students will dive into Chinese culture with learning units on Lunar New Year and classroom phrases. We discuss the key phrases and sentences used in the LOTE classroom.
