Definition: Place-value (tenths)- A tenth of these is 1 of those- 1 can be partitioned into 10 equal parts (tenths): tenths can be counted (0-9), ordered and compared in the same way as any other place-value unit (e.g., 5.3 is smaller than 5.7 as there are less tenths in 5.3)
