How it Works: Your child will be assigned a rainbow colour based on their current maths goals. Each rainbow colour has it's own page. On that page you will find activities to work on with your child.
What It Is: The maths tasks are all connected to the work of Dianne Siemon and the Big Idea's in Number. Once you have completed a task with your child you can post it on Seesaw for the classroom teachers to see. If your child completes tasks from each section of the rainbow belt they will receive their badge for that colour.
When: Student's are encouraged to work on the maths tasks a few times a week to help build their maths skills!
Where: Colour bands will be handed out at assemblies throughout the year. Seesaw pages are available for each year level to upload any work you wish to share.
Rainbow Bands are not in sequential order, they are based on the skills your child needs at that time in their mathematical development
If your child collects all of the colour bands they will receive a Rainbow Band and be rewarded with a super cool prize at assembly as well as join our Rainbow Maths Hall of Fame
