In this unit you will study what Light is. Students will explore what reflection is, convex and concave and refraction. Students will look at white light and the colour spectrum. students will complete a number of practical experiments using the light boxes.
Physical sciences
Light can form images using the reflective feature of curved mirrors and the refractive feature of lenses, and can disperse to produce a spectrum which is part of a larger spectrum of radiation (VCSSU105)
The properties of sound can be explained by a wave model (VCSSU106)
C.A.T.1 will be on Light.
Students will also study Bridges and understand how structure design enables strength of a build.
