Our Middle Years curriculum is designed to allow students engage in a breadth of core curriculum whilst deepening their learning in areas of interest through electives.

Elective Subjects - Breadth and Pathways

Pathway subjects give Year 10 students greater choice in the course they study as they begin to consider their pathway into Senior School and beyond.

Students may choose from pathway offerings in Arts (visual and performing arts), Languages, Humanities, Physical Education, Science, and Technology at Year 10. This flexibility allows students to explore the a range of fields of study before making decisions about their Senior School program.

In some situations, you may not be able to get your first choice of subject in a particular learning area. This is why it’s important to think about first and second (reserve) preferences when you are browsing through the Course Website and talking to the people who are supporting you.
