In ‘Fire,’ Jackie French, the author of the book, collaborated with Bruce Whatley to create some beautiful and colorful pages. The introduction of the book conveys emotions to the reader, as well as the illustrations, helping the reader understand the book better. The story shows us how quickly fire spreads and how dangerous it is to humans and animals.
The book "Fire" clearly shows how dangerous and difficult to control bushfires are. Jackie French describes how quickly the fire spreads and burns everything, helping readers understand the severity of bushfires. The illustrations make the fire more realistic with vibrant colors, combined with watercolours and thick smoke in the sky. The pictures in the book show animals trying to escape and firefighters trying their best to prevent the fire from spreading. These details help readers understand the dangers of bushfires if not stopped in time.
Therefore, I think “Fire” by Jackie French and Bruce Whatley is a powerful and touching story about a bushfire that reflects the Australian spirit in difficult times. The theme of the book is about power, love and friendship, people and animals in the face of a natural disaster.
