The working drawing below have been provided as an opportunity to challenge yourself. Some of you may be feeling confident enough using OnShape to be able to create a model from working drawings. If you would like to challenge yourself and work on your problem solving skills, you are encouraged skip tutorials that show you how to draw the parts.
During this modelling project, you will learning to create different shapes using different sketching tools. You will also be using new mates such as the slider mate and tangent mate. You will also be using offsets. As these are new tools and techniques, you are encouraged to follow the tutorials when assembling the mechanical toy, as it can be quite tricky when doing it for the first time.
If you don't feel confident enough to successfully sketch these parts in OnShape using the working drawings you are encouraged to try these parts without watching the tutorials:
Top Frame
Side Frame
Bottom Frame
Remember, if you are struggling using this method, you can always watch the video tutorials to help you fix any issues you are having.
