Term 3 concluded in the most exciting and happiest of ways for the students and staff in K-1-2. Earlier in the term they had set themselves a goal of working towards a class reward day. They would achieve that by working together, focusing on their work, cooperating and collaborating, completing tasks and caring for one another. Each time they achieved this as a class, they would earn a 'star in the jar'. When the jar was full, they would have earnt their collective reward.
On the last Thursday of term, they finally achieved that goal. The reward? A day of face painting, dancing and wearing whatever they wanted!
To top it off, the P&C had also generously provided a pizza party for the whole school.
It was the most perfect ending to a fabulous term!
A HUGE thank you goes out to Vicki and Em, along with little Millie, for providing the delicious pizzas, jellies and ice creams. Thank you also to Mrs Hodgson and Miss Kris for their face painting skills and delivering all the fun!
Reading Buddies have been reintroduced and we have been making the most of the dry and sunny conditions to get outside and experience the love of reading.
The primary class have been working on a program called Rock and Water. It helps students to develop their self-awareness, self-confidence and social functioning. They have participated in a series of weekly lessons that involve discussions and physical activities. It's been a lot of fun and has helped students build on their skills and confidence. On the last day of term, Mr Springfield presented the students in the class with their course graduation certificates.

Mrs Parker did a fun research and creative activity with the Stage 2 students last week while Stage 3 were on camp called One Little Letter.
Students had to find information and create a presentation about themselves and things starting with the first letters of their names.
They needed to write about their holidays and interesting facts about themselves, then use the first letter of their name to present about a:
Country
Animal
Food
City
Famous Person
For example:
J - Japan
J - Jabiru
J - Jellybeans
J - Johannesburg
J - Jessica Fox
Which of these would you choose to research using the first letter of your name?
