As part of our commitment to Aboriginal Education for all students, we continue to explore areas of cultural significance, in particular how it relates to us living and learning on Worimi Land.
Braxton is one of our proud Aboriginal students who takes great pride in his culture. He actively engages in regular activities to improve his knowledge and understanding, and leading us to all understand these concepts better as well.
One of the key features of Aboriginal culture is the sharing of knowledge and wisdom through storytelling and personal connections. Braxton demonstrates these skills regularly through the way he interacts with others and by drawing on knowledge of his family and engaging in the wider community. Recently, Braxton has learnt some new skills through his uncle, that of being able to incorporate Wiradjuri language into his Acknowlegement of Country.
Hearing Braxton recite this for the external validation panel and at the final school assembly for term 3, were two incredibly special experiences.
Congratulations, Braxton, on your achievements so far and thank you for continuing to lead us in our ongoing pursuit of developing a shared knowledge of Aboriginal culture and experiences.
