Term 4, Week 2, 2025
I can't believe I'm saying WELCOME TO TERM 4 already, but here we are! Time sure flies when you're having fun.
Speaking of fun, I hope you all had lovely school holidays with your families. I enjoyed having time with my own children, following them around the country for their sporting activities and spending some time with my Mum as she recovers from major surgery.
I also know that Stage 3 have started the term with lots of fun, too, after heading to the Blue Mountains and Bathurst on camp with a group of other year 5 and 6 students from small schools around the Hunter. A huge thank you to Mr Springfield for taking time away from his own family to chaperone the students and for providing them with such a rewarding and exciting opportunity. Please take a look at more details and images from camp later in this newsletter.
Those of you who've had a chance to visit the school will no doubt have also noticed that the pine trees were finally removed during the holidays. We will be working with local sustainability groups to research appropriate replacements for the trees and set about planting and caring for them in the coming weeks.
The end of term 3 saw the culmination of many months' worth of work from staff to prepare and present our submission for external validation. Please take the opportunity to read more about this later in this newsletter.
We have a jam-packed term ahead, full of learning, incursions, excursions, special events and transition activities, so please be sure to check in regularly on the school calendar available now on School Bytes, to know what's coming up. Also, be sure to read the newsletter carefully each fortnight to get information on upcoming events and reports on activities that have been taking place. It is a comprehensive resource full of lots of important information, dates and images!
I'm looking forward to sharing lots of special events with you all as the term goes by, especially as we prepare to farewell our year 6's.
