Our insects will be going through physical stages such as growing bigger, greener and growing beautiful violet purple wings! These species of stick insects will grow to be bright green and pretty long. Did you know: The Order Phasmatodea has the longest insects in the world?!
- Wings → To fly, to distract, used as a defense mechanism.
- Environmental coloration → Used to blend in with their surroundings .
- Airflow and Ventilation → They need the circulation so they can breathe.
- Appearance → They look like sticks and leaves so as to stay hidden.

BEHAVIORAL CHANGES
- Swaying Motion → This happens when the insects are surprised.
- Drop to the floor → Another defense mechanism, to act like a falling leaf.
- Stiff bodies → When a predator chases after it, stick insects suddenly stop moving, which make them appear like a stick/leaf, causing the predator to lose interest. This does occasionally not work in the instance that the predator does not mind consuming sticks.
