CURRICULUM CONTEXT

‘Living World’ supports the Environmental Education Policy objectives of fostering students understanding of the environment as an integrated system, and fostering values and attitudes in students that result in behaviour change for a more sustainable school and home environment.


‘Living World’ will also enhance student outcomes in the following KLA’s:

Science and Technology

ST2-1WS-S – questions, plans and conducts scientific investigations, collects and summarises data and communicates using scientific representations

ST2 – 4LW-S – compares features and characteristics of living and non-living things

Maths

MA2-18SP – selects appropriate methods to collect data, and constructs, compares, interprets and evaluates data displays, including tables, picture graphs and column graphs

Visual Arts

VAS2.1 – Represents the qualities of experiences and things that are interesting or beautiful by choosing among aspects of subject matter

VAS2.2- Uses the forms to suggest the qualities of subject matter
