Creative Arts (Kindergarten to Year 2)
Students and teachers in Kindergarten to Year 2 will experience three 60-minute workshops (one on each day of the program) giving them exciting experiences in music, dance and drama. As part of the workshop, a short performance piece will be created for performance during the last workshop session.
Primary Dance (Years 3 to 6)
Students and teachers will work with professional dance tutors to develop their dance technique, creativity and performance quality in a fun and engaging environment, producing a dance piece to be performed in the Pulse Sunraysia showcase.
Primary Music and Drama (Years 3 to 6)
Students and teachers will work with tutors to devise and perform a movement piece set to music that develops students' dramatic skills. As well as singing, students will participate in staging, character and drama movement workshops and work towards a performance at the Pulse Sunraysia showcase.
Secondary Dance (Years 7 to 12)
Students and teachers will work with professional dance tutors to develop their dance technique, creativity and performance quality in a fun and engaging environment, producing a dance piece to be performed in the Pulse Sunraysia showcase.
Secondary Music (Years 7 to 12)
The Pulse Alive team will work with teachers and students to devise a musical performance that showcases the skills and interests of the students participating in these workshops. These secondary music workshops are suitable for any students who have experience as a singer (either solo or ensemble) or on any instrument.
Teacher PL workshops Music / Dance
The tutors running workshops for Pulse Sunraysia will be available on Tuesday afternoon from 3:45 pm until 4:45 pm for a teacher workshop, to discuss the devising process for creative arts. Nominations for these workshops should be made on the Pulse Sunraysia school nomination form.
