Sarah is thrilled to be currently working with The Arts Unit as Arts Coordination Officer for the North Coast. After completing a degree in Music Education she ran a successful instrumental music and Kindermusik studio.
As a CAPA teacher, she has extensive experience in teaching K-6 classroom music and creative arts lessons. In this capacity, Sarah has conducted bands, ensembles, directed concerts and school musical productions. She is passionate about children developing a love of singing- choir is her most favourite time of the week.
Sarah is an experienced primary school classroom teacher having most recently taught Kindergarten. She believes in creating rich and engaging opportunities for children to explore their world, be playful and nurture creativity through immersion in books, music and movement.
She loves musical theatre, Big Band music and lives on Bundjalung Country.
Court is deeply involved in the development of educational arts programs. He has served as Operations Manager for Schools Spectacular since 2023 and Associate Director for Pulse Alive and Pulse Far West, engaging public school students in Broken Hill and Sunraysia in 2023.
He has extensive training in the performing arts, studying acting at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts (New York), improvisation at The Second City (Toronto), and screen acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Art and the Australian Film and Television School.
Court has contributed to Tropfest finalist films and was 2nd Assistant Director on Sheppard’s ARIA-nominated Geronimo. As a Director, his credits include Mamma Mia (2022), Legally Blonde (2015), and The Producers (2014), Jersey Boys (2024) along with Associate Director roles for Les Misérables (2020, 2023)
Jessica is a professional dancer, choreographer, and dance educator with a wealth of experience in performance and teaching. She has performed on cruise ships and internationally, showcasing her talents on stages around the world. With a strong background in various dance styles, she has worked across theatre, live entertainment, and corporate events.
Currently, Jessica is the Dance Director for Southern Stars Performing Company, where she is dedicated to mentoring young dancers and creating innovative choreography. She has also collaborated with The Arts Unit and Southern Stars productions, bringing her expertise to large-scale performances.
In addition to her role as a dance director, Jessica has extensive experience in arts education and administration. As an assistant principal and special education teacher, she is passionate about making dance accessible and inclusive for all students. Her leadership in dance education extends to choreography for school productions, competitions, and performance teams.
With a deep love for dance and teaching, Jessica is committed to inspiring the next generation of performers, fostering creativity, and providing high-quality training in a positive and supportive environment.
Sally Dangar is an experienced creative director, choreographer, and dance teacher with a sincere passion for delivery high quality and accessible dance education.
She is currently the Dance Director for Pulse Alive, Sunraysia, Deniliquin, Moree, and Broken Hill and has been the SpecFest choreographer for three years. In 2024, she joined the choreography teams for Southern Stars and Schools Spectacular. A career highlight was choreographing the flashmob performed for King Charles and Queen Camilla during their Royal Visit to Australia in October 2024.
Beyond her work with The Arts Unit, Sally teaches an array of dance programs in NSW studios and schools including Wakakirri, competitive dance teams and her own programs such as Dance Challenge. She is also proud to teach and train for the Dance Health Alliance, a NFP organisation specialising in inclusive and accessible dance classes.
Sally is the founder and director of 123 Dance With Me, an Australian dance program created for studios and childcare facilities to offer dance education that explores movement, coordination and creativity in a fun and engaging way.
Her choreographic credits include work on Into The Woods (Bloom Creative Productions), Music Man Jnr, Matilda, and Charlie & The Chocolate Factory (Wenona School), Wicked and Kinky Boots (Packemin Productions), and Home & Away. She has also taught at Santa Sabina College, Wenona School, and St Andrew’s Cathedral School.
Committed to nurturing and inspiring the next generation of dancers, Sally creates engaging, positive, and comprehensive learning experiences, providing students with a strong technical foundation while encouraging their passion for dance.
Virginia is a choreographer, artistic director, adjudicator, dance tutor, and event coordinator specialising in contemporary choreography, musical theatre, and jazz styles. As a classical ballet dancer for the Tasmanian Ballet Company, Virgina has performed as a TV and film dancer, as a musical theatre performer in shows such as Hello Dolly, and Dancin’ Man, and as a contemporary performer for Company in Flight (San Francisco). She has also choreographed and performed with Frank Sinatra, Kylie Minogue, Peter Allen, Marilyn Jones, KD Lang, Kath & Kim, Bob Downe, Keith Bain, and Jimmy Somerville to name a few.
Rachel Kelly is a music educator, choral director, composer, arranger and pianist, As a sought-after choral conductor, she has led massed choirs at events such as the Schools Spectacular, the Festival of Choral Music at the Sydney Opera House, and Southern Stars – The Arena Spectacular.
Rachel is the conductor of the New South Wales Public Schools Junior Singers, the Sydney North Vocal Ensembles and the Pennant Hills High School Choir. She loves composing for young voices and creating works that will inspire a lifelong love of music and singing. As a devotee of music for the stage, she was thrilled to compose for the AMEB Musical Theatre syllabus.
Rachel also runs workshops and creates online resources to develop the choral conducting skills of school teachers. She has a Bachelor of Music Education from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and an A.Mus.A in piano. Rachel lives in Sydney, Australia, with her partner, daughter, and a border collie named Darby.
Jack Tier holds a Bachelor of Arts (Music Theatre) and a Master of Teaching (Primary). With a belief in the importance of Public Education, he has been working as a Primary School Teacher on Sydney’s Northern Beaches since 2014. Jack holds a passion for Music, Dance and Drama and works with The Arts Unit to assist in the delivery of programs such as Pulse Alive and Schools Spectacular. He is committed to creating inclusive and equitable learning environments where every student has the opportunity to thrive.
Luke Wallace is a dynamic and enthusiastic music educator who is passionate about improving access to quality arts opportunities for all students. He has over a decade of experience teaching classroom music and running instrumental and choral programs in public primary schools. Luke has worked at The Arts Unit since 2023 and is currently relieving as Student Music Programs K-8 Officer. He is a co-founder of Symphonia Jubilate and has been a teacher mentor with Music In Me in 2020, 2021 and 2022. Luke has a Bachelor of Music from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, majoring in violin performance, and a Graduate Diploma in Education from ACU.
In Laura’s third year as a member of the Pulse Far West Team, she has held various leadership roles. Notably, Laura served as a Student Creative Team Mentor for Pulse Alive 2024 and subsequently assumed the position of Associate Creative Director for Pulse Alive 2025. Laura, a highly acclaimed performer, has honed her craft at esteemed institutions such as NIDA, Conservatory Arts Project New York, and Second City Toronto. Her professional journey commenced with Opera Australia, and she has since graced the stage for over two decades. Beyond her performances, Laura actively contributes to production teams, serving as director, vocal coach, or choreographer for high school shows across Sydney.
Louise works as a singer, and performance coach. She is currently vocal tutor at Inaburra School and her private studio. Louise is founder of InterAct specialising in inclusive performing arts bringing music to all people with all abilities. She has performed in operetta, musical theatre, concerts, events, television, film and audio recordings. Her recent musical credits include: Donna in Mamma Mia! (Packemin Productions 2022), Our Lady of the Spa, Nine (Squabbalogic 2020), Donna in Mamma Mia! (Packemin Productions 2019), Mabel in Pirates of Penzance in concert (Sounds Great Productions), Nellie in South Pacific in concert (Illawarra On Pointe), Josephine in HMS Pinafore, in concert (Sounds Great Productions) and many others. Louise has achieved an LMusA and AMusA (Musical Theatre).
