Our ideas keep changing, but we will get there with the right message!
Our aim is to use the wide variety of artistic talents in our classroom. We were inspired by Rashi's success in submitting work for the... Insert image.
In our second iteration of STEM we are exploring our inquiry question of:
“How do cotton farmers use sustainable practices to meet the expectations of Australian public?”
To answer this inquiry question we have been exploring the myBMP website using SOLE (Self Organised Learning Environment). Next we will explore the Cotton Australia website and conduct interviews to find out the public opinion of cotton so that we can compare whether society have a shared understanding of how cotton is grown in Australia. This will help us to tell our story of healthy communities and social licencing on our Archi, Moona Lisa.
We selected our background to put in the frame for our Moona Lisa. We looked on Creative Commons.
Mrs Smerdon said we can use a technique called Mod Podge to transfer the image on our board.
We tried our best to get the image on without any creases, we didn't succeed, but it will look rustic.
First Attempt In Learning
We kept trying, but it didn't turn out as we expected.
Back to the drawing board.
We through the black frame didn't look authentic so we added gold leafing.
You can never have too much gold.
Only one way to get the frame on the calf - cut it!
Finished Frame
When Mr Smerdon was enlisted to help with cutting a whole in the picture frame. Everyone has been great in supporting us with suggestions and ideas. We have the best school community.
But we didn't use it in the end!
Reluctant Rashi doesn't want to be photographed.
Mrs Garg came to give us a helping hand - a BIG Thank You!!
