Colours and fractions – possible solutions

I spy fractions
You will need:
coloured pencils
a workbook or paper
Play the game 'I spy fractions' on the Polypad below.
You can use a printed game board (PDF file, 62KB) and dice, if you prefer.
Instructions:
Roll the dice.
The number shown on the dice is the denominator of a unit fraction.
For example, a roll of 2 represents 1/2. A roll of 5 represents 1/5. A roll of 1 represents 1/1 or a whole.Mark a shape where you see this fraction represented.
For example, if you rolled a 4 you would find a shape that showed a quarter in some way (see picture).
Roll again.
Try and cover the whole board!

Spin the spinner.
Place that size fraction bar on the purple fraction bar.
Continue until the full bar is covered.
You have won when you cover the bar completely.
Note:
A piece cannot be used if it will cover more than what is left on the purple bar.
If you spin a fraction that can’t be used, you miss a turn.
Keep a tally of how many fraction pieces you use in each game, as well as how many games it takes you to complete one full fraction bar of a whole.
