Article In the News: A friendly visitor in the Bay

In the News A Friendly visitor in the bay Sunning itself at Rushcutters Bay Park in Sydney's eastern suburbs, an Australian fur seal visited the local park to have a rest. The 100-kilogram male had been delighting passers-by as it slept by the seashore. An area had been roped off by the City of Sydney parks staff to protect the seal and allow it to rest. Seal numbers are increasing, with lots of regular sightings up and down the NSW coast. Fast facts Appearance - males - dark grey to brown with a paler underside and a dark mane over the neck and shoulders. Females - can vary from pale fawn to greyish brown, with a paler yellowish throat and underside. Habitat - found in coastal waters and oceans. They can be found on rocky islands, boulder and pebble beaches and rocky ledges. Diet - bony fish species, squid and octopus.

Song: L. Attar, E. Cooper, J. Foreman, G. Lynch, T. May, A. Sharp

VERSE 1

This is our world

For us to share

Don’t pretend that we’re not there

This is our time to sing our song

Don’t tell us that we’re always wrong

PRE CHORUS

Sometimes you just want to sing out

But it’s hard to find the words

One voice may not seem to be strong

But together we can be heard!

CHORUS

Even though it can be hard to stand our ground

You won’t bring us down

Crazy times we’re living in

Heads are spinning round

It won’t bring us down

REFRAIN

Na-na na na-na na na na x 2

But it’s hard to find the words

One voice may not seem to be strong
