Technology is part of the Science and Technology syllabus and is integrated into teaching and learning across the curriculum. Through explicit teacher instruction and guidance students learn both how to use technology and use technology as a tool for learning.
Some of the technology utilised in Kindergarten classrooms include:
Interactive panels
Document Cameras
iPads
We use iPads across the curriculum to enrich and extend learning. Students will use:
Engaging skill-based apps, such as Mathseeds, giving students opportunities to explicitly practice new skills.
Open-ended apps, such as Chatterpix and Seesaw, allow students to innovate on texts, practise oral presentations and demonstrate their understanding of many skills and concepts.
Teachers use multi functional document cameras (Hover-cams) to enhance student engagement levels and maximise learning.
Reading any text becomes a big book experience accessible anytime by teachers and students.
We use technology to engage, inspire and embed 21st Century learning: communication, collaboration and critical & creative thinking.
This stop motion animation was produced by students as a response to their study of the children's book Where Is The Green Sheep?
We use interactive and intuitive tools such as Seesaw digital learning journals to capture learning experiences and encourage students to reflect on their new knowledge.
In this video you will see a student demonstrate their newly acquired knowledge in Mathematics and English.
