Kindergarten 2024 Calendar

School hours

Playground supervision starts at 8.30am each school day. Your child must not be left alone in the school grounds before 8.30am. If you need to arrange care for your child before 8.30, please contact Ryde Public School After School Care.

Students must be with their teacher and class by 8.55am.

School finishes at 3.00pm each day. There is no supervision provided for students after this time. If you know you will be running late, please contact the school office.

Your class teacher will not release your child to anyone unless you have informed them in advance. Please keep your teacher updated with collection details for your child.

BE ON TIME EACH DAY! LEARNING STARTS AT 8.55AM.

If a student misses as little as 8 days in a school term, by the end of primary school they’ll have missed over a year of school!

Absence from school

All absences are recorded and the school is required to keep detailed documentation. If your child is absent from school for any reason, you will need to notify the school of the reason for the absence. For short absences, 3 days or less, you can:

Email the school ryde-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au or your child's class teacher.

Please call the school if your child will be away for 4 or more days. A separate form is required for extended leave/holiday. These application forms are available at the office.
