During Week 9, fifteen students successfully completed their White Card training in a one-day course on-site.
The training covered essential workplace health and safety regulations, ensuring that students understand the risks and responsibilities associated with working in the construction industry. All students in VET Construction must have a White Card to be eligible for work placement. The White Card training course was also open to students at Kogarah High who are interested in working in the construction industry on weekends or during school holidays.
By the end of the session, all participants had met the necessary requirements and were awarded their White Cards, allowing them to pursue further opportunities in construction and related fields.
There will be another White Card training course held on-site in Term 4, organised by Miss Jordan.
