Practice using a compass
Use a compass to work out the answers to these questions:
Always turn clockwise.
1. Start facing north. How many degrees will you turn to face east?
2. Start facing south. How many degrees will you turn to face north?
3. Start facing west. How many degrees will you turn to face south?
4. Start facing north-east. How many degrees will you turn to face south-west?
5. Start facing north. How many degrees will you turn to face south-east?
6. Start facing north. Turn clockwise 90 degrees. Which direction are you facing?
7. Start facing south. Turn clockwise 45 degrees. Which direction are you facing?
8. Start facing north-west. Turn clockwise 135 degrees. Which direction are you facing?
