Research what life was like for a social group (Shi, Nong, Gong or Shang) of Ancient China.
Create a short powerpoint slideshow to share with the class about that social group. - Things to think about/include:

What did they do/what was their role in society?
Describe what life may have been like for them.

Alternate activity: Research one of the social groups using the textbook (pages below) and place the information on this table. Share your information with others and gather information they have researched about the other groups to add to your table.

Choose one of the following Ancient Chinese inventions:

Create a powerpoint using your research information that you will upload to your website (on the Ancient China page).
1) What questions might you ask about the invention? Think about what information you might need if you were to explain the invention to someone who has never seen or heard of it before. List them in your workbooks.

2) Organise your questions into an appropriate order, and research the answers using the textbook, notes we have completed in class, as well as the internet.
3) Use these notes to create your powerpoint.
4) Include relevant photos/images.
5) Remember to complete a bibliography.
NB: DO NOT just copy and paste text from websites- your work will be checked for plagiarism. Use key words, phrases and summaries to help put the information you find into your own words.

Imagine you are the one of the people involved with the invention you have researched. Create a journal or diary entry describing what happened when you discovered or created your invention.

Description of what was created/invented and how.
Description of 'your' part in the invention discovery/creation.
