8:45 - 9:10 Before School

When you arrive at school in the morning your first job is to put your bag at your classroom.
After putting your bag down it is important you go to the main playground area.
Teachers will be on playground duty from 8:45.
9:10 - 9:20 Bell Time

When the bell goes Kindergarten need to move to their class line underneath the school COLA.
A short school assembly is held with important messages for the day.
It is important you stand really still and steady and listen carefully.
After the messages your teacher will walk you to wash your hands and then back to class.

During our morning session we will do lots of literacy based learning activities like phonics, reading, writing and handwriting.
Throughout the morning we will take a small break for our fruit break. Learning doesn’t stop during this time so make sure you know where to find it in your bag and make sure it is ready to eat.

At recess we have a short time to eat and play.
Kindergarten eat at the Kindergarten picnic tables. After eating it is important you put your rubbish in the bin and place your lunch box and drink bottle into your class tub.
You can then go and play in the top playground area until the bell rings.
When the bell rings Kindergarten need to go straight to the Kindergarten COLA to line up with their class.

After recess you will go with your teacher to wash your hands after eating and playing.
It is important you also remember to use the toilet during this time, so you don't need to go during class.
When we head back into class we will have another busy session of learning.
Usually Kindergarten will be learning about mathematics during this time but it can change according to each class's timetable.

At lunch time we have eating time and playing time.
Kindergarten eat at the Kindergarten picnic tables. After eating it is important you put your rubbish in the bin and place your lunch box and drink bottle into your class tub. You will need to put your hand up when you are ready so the teacher on duty can check your area.
You can then go and play in the playground until the bell rings.
When the bell rings Kindergarten need to go straight to the Kindergarten COLA to line up with their class.

After lunch Kindergarten will head back to class with their teacher.
Each afternoon we will be learning something different, some things we might be learning about include art, dance, drama, sport, science or history. This will change according to each class's timetable.
3:00 Home Time
3:00 Home Time
At the end of the day Kindergarten will pack their own bags ready for home.
It is important you remember to put all your belongings inside your bag.
Your teacher will dismiss you from your classroom.
Make sure you know who you are going home with each day and you tell your teacher before you leave.
A reminder that Kindergarten finish early for the first week of school at 3:00pm.
