Using Natural Resources to create art

Activity 1: Making a leaf rubbing

Activity 2: Making bush creatures

Field of Mars Environmental Education Centre teachers have created banksia creatures and gumnut babies from natural resources found on the ground. They have created a lesson on how to make bush creatures from natural resources

Activity 3: Making ephemeral art with natural resources in rivers

Watch the video of this artist using rocks to make an ephemeral artwork in a river. Ephemeral art is a work of art that only lasts a short amount of time.

If you have access to pebbles, go outside and see if you can create an ephemeral artwork by balancing rocks on each other.
