Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) is a wellbeing framework used by the school. Every two weeks there is a whole school focus on a rule and a specific area such as Respect Everyone - playground. Lessons will be taught that outline expected behaviours. Teachers award children tokens that are tallied to earn house team points, this encourages working together as a team. At the end of the term the winning house team has a simple prize awarded which may include extra play time, a movie or a disco. Teachers will let you know what colour house team your child is in. We have four house teams - Giallo (yellow), Rosso (red), Verde (green) and Azzurro (blue).
Occasionally some children may need additional support with their behaviour. If needed, a child will have some time off the playground to work with a member of the school leadership team to talk about what happened. Conversations will focus on learning from mistakes and how to move forward.
