In our opinion, Eddie Mabo is a notable person because he committed his life to trying to help the Aborginal and Torres Strait Islander people have their own rights. He also fought for something called the Mabo Case to the High Court of Australia. The Mabo case presented u with a law about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. His commitment and dedication have made Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders have the life they have today.
