In his life, Eddie Mabo had a lot of acheivements but here are some that really stand out. In 1973, Eddie Mabo established a Black Community School in Townsville, North Queensland which gave Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children a great opportunity to learn about their culture. Another acheivement of Eddie Mabo was that he contributed to the government and established the National Aboriginal Education Committee. While he was doing this though, many states disliked this committee and after going through 22 years of torment, the NAEC shut down. But still, these achievements have shaped Australian society in some way.
