BEST START KINDERGARTEN ASSESSMENT
Best Start Kindergarten Assessment is a literacy and numeracy assessment conducted for all Kindergarten students in the first five weeks of school. The assessment will take 30-40 minutes and will be conducted by a teacher on site at the school. There is no need to prepare your child for the Best Start assessment. Parents and Carers will receive a summary report once the interviews have been completed for all students.
Best Start identifies student’s literacy and numeracy skills on entry to Kindergarten. It has been conducted in all NSW public schools since 2010.
