Web browsers are software programs that allow users to access and interact with web pages. Web browsers are capable of displaying web pages, hyperlinks and downloading information onto your computer. Bookmarks are used to store addresses of websites that could be quickly accessed without entering the browser again. The most widely used browsers are Google Chrome, internet explorer and Firefox.
Web authoring software
Web authoring softwares is used to create and manage a multimedia website. They are able to display information of different data types and position objects, as would be viewed through a web browser.
Popular web authoring software includes:
• Macromedia Dreamweaver—currently the industry standard used by professional designers. It creates HTML code that is lean and compatible with any browser or platform.
• Microsoft FrontPage—used by small business and home users. It has an intuitive layout with easy to use templates. Users have the ability to view and edit the HTML code.
These softwares allows the user to create website structures, incorporating and grouping webpages and enabling audio, animations and video to be easily inserted.
Overall, web authoring software is a powerful tool that helps users to build and edit web pages in an easier and useful way.
