WHY CHOOSE SPANISH IN STAGE 5 ?
In Stage 5 Spanish at Dapto High School, students will learn through fun and hands-on activities that bring language and culture to life. Explore culture through traditions, music, festivals, food, sport and art while building real life communication skills. From creating cultural projects and cooking activities to games, music, digital challenges and interactive speaking tasks, every lesson is designed to be engaging and enjoyable.
Learning Spanish can also open doors for future travel, careers and senior study, while giving you valuable skills that employers and universities highly value.

CONTENT WE COVER IN STAGE 5 SPANISH.
In Stage 5 Spanish, students build on the skills developed in Years 7 which helps to become confident communicators while exploring the diverse cultures of the Spanish speaking world. The course aligns with the Modern Languages Syllabus and develops skills in Listening, Speaking, Writing and Reading through authentic and engaging learning experiences.
Students will cover topics such as, Travel and Holidays, Food and Restaurants, Family, Friends and Daily Life, Shopping and Fashion, School Life, Festivals and Celebrations, Sport and Leisure, Music, Dance and Art.
Students will explore the rich cultures of Spain and Latin-America. Spanish is one of the world's most spoken languages, with over 500 million speakers across Spain, Mexico, Argentina including much of Central and South America.
