Kindergarten At-Home Learning Plan

This week beginning Monday, 18th October, Kindergarten students are back onsite at school meaning that an At-Home Learning Plan is no longer required.

Daily Schedules

Structuring the day

Young children benefit from routine but we also need to be aware that children need to be engaged in order to learn. If your child is reluctant to participate then give them a little break and tell them that you want them to come back in 5 minutes ready to learn. Often a short break can reset their attention and allow them to regain focus. Many of the activities we have suggested are repetitive and this will provide a familiar structure for your child.

We have not suggested specific timings for each activity but we imagine each activity may take around 10-15 minutes. We are also mindful that not every activity will be carried out and this is absolutely fine. You may find your child becomes engrossed in a particular activity and wants to continue with it or you may find that they wish to go off in a different direction. We want the children to feel happy and engaged in their learning. Take their lead. If you are having difficulties then reach out to us through the support button. A member of the Kindy team will respond to you as soon as they can.
