A waste audit is a structured process to quantify the amount and type of waste generated at the school. Students will use the data they collect to determine the biggest waste problems at their school. Solutions will be brainstormed for each of these problems and the best ideas turned into action plans, with the overall aim to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill from the school. Students can then communicate their ideas to the rest of the school community, so all students in the school can implement the changes the students have put into place.
