Positive Behaviour for Learning

Abbotsford Public School is a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) school. PBL is a whole school program that brings together the whole school community to maintain a positive, safe and supportive learning environment.

At Abbotsford Public School, students are:

*Active Learners

*Respectful

*Safe

Each fortnight all students are explicitly taught a lesson that addresses one of the three school expectations. The lessons are based on data that is recorded throughout the year. On the playground, students work together in stages to show they are following school expectations and teachers are on the 'lookout' for positive behaviour, handing out 'Godwit Gold' to add to Stage boxes, that will result in a stage reward when the box is full!

Gymea ('little bird'), the Godwit, is our PBL mascot.
