Literary activities
The school will organize the following literary activities to encourage and supplement the learning of the students and give them maximum confidence and exposure.

Cultural Activities
Our country has a rich cultural heritage and it is an important national identity of our country to be preserved. We cannot afford to lose or even let this value diminish to any extent. Therefore, we as responsible citizens of our country, it is our obligation to uphold the Bhutanese culture and tradition by fostering cultural activities in our school and in our country at large. The school will organize competition amongst the four houses on the following areas.

Games and sport Activities
The games & sport in-charge in coordination with non-academic head will coordinate all the games and sports activities and plan as per school calendar. The roles and responsibility of games and sport in-charge are
Ø Soccer for boys and girls.
Ø Traditional games.
Ø Indoor games
Ø Sports based on the feasibility.
Clubs activities
Our aim of providing wholesome education cannot be achieved unless club activities take place in the schools. The school as per the need and expertise available among the staff and the students, the following clubs will operate;
1. Health club

5. Coding club
6. Games and sports club
The clubs will be organized and managed in the following manner.
Ø Scheduled to function on every Wednesday during 7th period.
Ø One or two teachers will be the in-charge of a club.
Ø The in-charges will have an action plan prepared.
Ø The in-charges will submit report to the review meeting at the end of the year for reviewing the activity.
Roles and Responsibilities
Academic Head
Ø Guide all the academic related activities in the school.
Ø Remind all person concerned about the academic related activities.
Ø Assist the Principal in monitoring the academic plans and progress.
Non-Academic Head
Ø Guide all the Non-academic related activities in the school.
Ø Remind all person concerned about the Non-academic related activities.
Ø Assist the Principal in monitoring the Non-academic plans and progress.
Staff Secretary
Ø officiate the principal during his absence for smooth running of the school.
Ø Chair any meetings in principal’s absence.
Ø Correspond any message from outside during principal’s absence
Ø Act as a link between the school and the staff.
Health in-charge
Ø Monitor the cleanliness of the school environment and advice the authority for necessary action or improvement.
Ø Initiate and monitor the school cleaning especially the students’ toilets.
Ø Maintain a first aid box
Ø Submit annual report and requisition.
Ø Plan and carry out various health campaigns.
Ø Invite health personnel for health talks to the students.
Culture in-charge
Ø Prepare action plan
Ø Conduct house competitions on time.
Ø Mobilization and recording of resources
Ø Create awareness on importance of culture.
Ø Escort children to competitions at different levels. **
Ø Keep three traditional cultural programs ready at all times.

Besides these competitions the children at different level of classes are expected to learn different songs (Boedra/Zhungdra/Rigsar/National songs).
Store In-charge
Ø Prepare the requisition of textbooks and stationeries on time for submission
Ø Maintain the received and issued record properly.
Ø Provide user education to all the students.
Ø Maintain the store properly.
Ø Dispose the materials after informing the dzongkhag.
Games and sport in-charge
Ø Ensure that the games and sports activities are conducted as per the school calendar.
Ø Prepare budget projection for the games and sports goods and procuring them on time for proper implementation.
Ø Take care of the games and sports materials.
Ø Maintain register for games and sports facilities.
Ø Guide and escort the team for various competitions at various levels. **
Ø Coach the students about games and sports rules and regulations, and above all inculcate sportsmanship spirit in the students.
Ø Ensure safety of the participants and audience during the conduct of the games and sports.
Ø Prepare action plans for all the activities.

Library In-charge
Ø Develop library and make it as the resource center of the school.
Ø Maintain the records of the books.
Ø Issue books on loan to the students and the teachers and maintain proper record.
Ø Arrange the newspapers and other periodicals and compile them systematically for future reference.
Ø Teach students on how to use library books.
Ø Maintain and repair the damaged books.
Ø Collect fines for damaged or lost books and replace them by purchasing new ones.
Furniture In-charge
Ø Maintain furniture register.
Ø Prepare requisition of furniture consulting the teachers.
Ø Be responsible for moving furniture from place to place.
Ø Maintain the issue of furniture annually.
Ø Propose the repair of old furniture and deploy support to carry it out.
Literary In Charge
Ø Prepare action plan and implement it.
Ø Assist the school with any adhoc literary activities.
Ø Record and reinforce all the literary activities’ participants.
Nature In charge
Ø Prepare action plan and implement it.
Ø Assist the school with any adhoc nature related activities.
Ø Advocate importance of nature to the students and public.
Caretaker
Ø Unlock and lock all the classrooms, staffroom, office and other buildings every morning and evening respectively.
Ø Take care of all the equipments in the staffroom and office.
Ø Clean office, staffroom and surrounding daily.
Ø Watch the campus and maintain its beautification.
Ø Carry out the maintenance work and take care of all the agricultural tools.
Roles and Responsibilities of the SMT
Ø Develop policies, plans and programs for the school.
Ø Discuss, decide and resolve important issues and crisis.
Ø Delegate responsibilities to various committees, in charges and individual teachers.
Ø Define roles and responsibilities for all the working committees.
Ø Ensure proper implementation of all the school programmes.
Ø Monitor, support, and evaluate the implementation of all the programmes.
Ø Disseminate any important information to the school personnel.
Ø Do staff deployment job fairly.
Ø The members will be the secretaries of the three general committees.
Ø Draft school calendar and time table.
Class Teacher
A class teacher has biggest responsibility towards his/her own class. The class teacher is the best person to maintain the standard of the class at all times since he/she is with the class most of the time. Therefore the class teacher has the following responsibilities.
Ø Maintain and update the class register.
Ø Prepare and keep students personal documents like students’ personal file, health record, students’ progress report card and other documents.
Ø Maintain discipline and order in the classroom/teach values to the students.
Ø Collect fees and other collections and submit to the respective in-charges.
Ø Ensuring that the classroom is always neat and clean.
Ø Provide user education to the students.
Ø Issue and collect textbook and stationeries.
Ø Check the personal hygiene of the students, their general appearance, dress etc.
Ø Keep vigilance on sick students and refer them to the school health in-charge.
Ø Take action to the students who are absent without permission and inform the principal as discipline committee of the irregularity and more than three days absence of students from the class.
Ø Provide guidance and pastoral care to the students in their personal problem.
Ø Should be accountable for all classroom properties.
Subject Teacher
The subject teachers are expected to carry out the following responsibilities.
Ø Prepare yearly plan and daily plan for their subjects.
Ø Prepare adequate teaching learning materials before going to the class whenever necessary.
Ø Create conducive atmosphere in the classroom and provide remedial help to the needy students.
Ø Check students’ notebooks on regular basis and give proper feedback for improvement.
Ø Carry out continuous assessment and record properly.
Ø Prepare test blue print when setting examination papers.
Roles and responsibilities of Examination Secretary
Ø Collect, care and issue the question paper.
Ø Ensure the safety of the question papers.
Ø Make sure that the examination is fairly conducted.
Ø Maintaining question bank.
Ø Rules and regulation to be prepared and briefed to the students.
Ø Exam time table to be prepared.
Ø Coordinate the meeting related to examination.
Ø Mobilization and recording of resources for examination.
Ø Result preparation for two terms.
Cooks
Ø Carry out the kitchen work without fail
Ø Maintain kitchen and MPH surroundings neat and clean
Ø Watch the campus and maintain its beautification.
Revised Staff Collection policy
1.General collection/contribution:
General collections from the staff shall be as follows:
i. Visit to baby showering 500/-
ii. House warming 500/-
iii. Invitation as guest 400/-
iv. Offering of kha Dhar (new car, marriage) 500/-
Conditions:
i. All the staff will contribute above amount irrespective of position level
ü. If anyone of the staff is absent, head will be counted and collection is compulsory.
v. Offering of Khadar (promotion) 500/- all the teachers, 300/- all the support staff
vi. Farewell & Welcome – Will be divided among staff as per the expenditure. (70% all the teaching & 30% supporting staff)
Conditions:
i. All the staff will contribute the amount as per the above clause
ü. If anyone of the staff is absent, head will be counted and collection is compulsory.
vii. Semso
-Demise of staff (2000 per head)
-Demise of student (500 per head)
-Demise of direct parent (1000/-)
-Demise of Spouse and children (1000/-)
Conditions:
i. All the staff will contribute the amount as per the above clause irrespective of position level
ü. Principal, VP, SMT and staff secretary shall represent school and make visit to give away the “Semso” to the bereaved family.
viii. Sickness in case of bed ridden or Hospitalized; collection will be divided among staff as per the expenditure.
Condition:
i. ESP/GSP will contribute same as others.
Staff Quarter Policy
1. Will be occupied by the senior teacher to the present school even if they report one day prior to the school
2. In-case if they happened to be reported on same day, will be occupied on lucky dip basis
3. Staff residing in staff quarter should do thorough handing taking on vacant of quarter to the school administration.
