The 3-year-olds in Infantil have been practicing 4 colors: red (❤️), yellow (💛), green (💚), and blue (💙).
Through the story The Color Monster, students have been learning 6 different emotions, each associated with a different color: happy (yellow), sad (blue), angry (red), scared (black), calm (green), and love (pink). They have also been learning sleepy and hungry.
The 4-year-olds in infantil have been practicing weather vocabulary. Every day, they respond to the question, What's the weather like today? with It's....(sunny/cloudy/rainy, etc.)
Students have been practicing recognizing and saying numbers 1-10 in English. They have also been learning how to count from 1 to 20 in English.
Students have been learning vocabulary related to autumn. First, students learned Halloween vocabulary, and then they started practicing more general seasonal vocabulary, like jacket, umbrella, squirrel, pinecone, raincoat, and mushroom.
5-year-old students in Infantil have been learning and practicing the planets in English through various songs, activities, and worksheets. In addition to the 8 planets, students have learned general solar system vocabulary, such as star, moon, sun, astronaut, rocket, and meteorite.
Students have also been practicing speaking and understanding different places, such as classroom, bathroom/toilet, playground, dining room, and library.
Students in year 1 have learned adjectives to describe emotions, size, and speed. Students have put these adjectives to use with "It is..." phrases, describing toys and more!
Students have also learned to describe relative location of school supplies and classroom furniture.
In the context of sports, students in year 2 have learned to ask questions such as "Do you like...?", "Do you play...?" and "Have you got...?" and to answer them with "Yes, I do" or "No, I don't."
Students have likewise learned to ask and answer questions about the weather ("What's the weather like?"). Similarly, students have learned to ask and answer questions about weather-related activities ("What are you doing?").
Students in year 2 are now beginning to learn about wild animals and their body parts!
Through discussions of healthy and unhealthy habits, students in year 3 have learned to ask "How often...?" questions. Students have learned to answer with adjectives of frequency (always, usually, sometimes, never) or with specific time intervals (once, twice, three times a week).
In the context of food vocabulary, students have likewise learned to discuss the presence and absence of objects. Students have learned to ask questions beginning with "Is/are there any...?" and to answer these questions with "There is/are some..." or "There isn't/aren't any..."
Students in year 3 have learned to compare animals using new adjectives, such as bigger, smaller, faster and slower. Students have likewise learned other descriptive adjectives, including pretty, ugly, colorful, intelligent, and more!
