Council of School Councils
The Council of School Councils (COSC) is comprised of school council chairs and vice-chairs (or appropriate designates), members of the Board of Trustees and other Sturgeon Public School leaders. Its purpose is for SPS leaders and parents to have an opportunity to work together, to share information, discuss concerns and plan for the future.
We value the contribution of parent leadership and COSC is one way to keep the lines of communication open between Sturgeon Public Schools, as a public education system, and parent leadership in individual school communities.
The email "cosc@sturgeon.ab.ca" has also been setup for all members of COSC to use and can be an effective way to stay in touch between the COSC events. Note: most, but not all chairs and/or vice chairs have agreed to add their email to it, if the communication must go to everyone, please send it in to Central Office.
