Email templates
Advanced features
General Settings
Gmail has advanced features that can be added from the 'Advanced Settings'. An essential tool is the ability to create email templates with scheduled send times.
You are often required to send emails that have the same information to different people at different times. Rather than rewriting or searching for the last send you can create a template and save it so it is ready on demand as well as 'schedule' the email to go out at a specific time.
1 > Go to Advanced (via settings) in Gmail
2 > Enable Templates, Auto Advance, Keyboard Shortcuts & Unread Message Icon
3 > Select SAVE to complete the process.
4 > Create a Message
Subject Line: ‘Class Trip'
Add Content "We will have a class field trip next month. To prepare, you will need the following… "
Save it as a Template titled 'Class Trip'
5 > Close it & then compose a new message to yourself and add your template.
When are you rewriting the same message over and over? What could you use templates for?
