Set Up & Share Appointment Slots
Add a Google Meet to Calendar Event
One feature of Google Calendar is the option to make any of its calendars public, so anyone can see events whether they have a Google account or not. A more unique feature (only available for G Suite for Education accounts) is an option called, “Appointment slots,” where an educator can select an interval of time during which other Google users can schedule an appointment, alleviating the need for the teacher to do the actual scheduling. Educators love this feature to help schedule meetings on conference days.
1 > Open Google Calendar
2> Select Create > Appointment Schedule
3> Set up 15 minute appointment slots for hosting Academic Support every Wednesday from 3pm - 5pm in Google Meet.
4 > Open the booking page and book an appt.
5> View the appointment on your calendar
About Appointment Slots:
To create an appointment slot, simply select a chunk of time from your Google Calendar. A box will pop up asking for details of the event and at the top of this box there will be an option labeled “Appointment slots.” Fill out the necessary details and then provide the sharing link to your audience so they can book a time with you.
