YouTube has become a mecca for learning throughout the world. Users can search for videos about any content from how-to to entertainment. Users can also easily upload videos to be made public (searchable from the search bar), unlisted (accessible only to those with a direct link). or private (accessible only to the owner).
Users can create playlists (for reference, think of a Folder to organize your videos by topic) that users can save videos to in order to organize the videos by topic. For example, an elementary teacher may have a Playlist for earthquakes, another playlist for volcanoes, and another one for weather for his/her science lessons. Playlists can be titled and be given descriptions. They can also be shared with other users via email or a link.
Every YouTube account has a unique page called "My Channel" to store saved playlists and the users' own uploaded videos. My Channel is only available if a user is signed in to his/her account and can be found in the upper left-hand corner under HOME.
Users can add videos to existing playlists or create a new playlist by clicking the "+ Add to" button under each video. Users can share videos they find with other users via url link or directly by email by clicking the "Share" button under each video.
