The World Rugby Concussion Protocol will be in effect during all matches so please ensure you are familiar with it. If in doubt - sit them out!
All players MUST BE REGISTERED before stepping on the pitch.

Where weather conditions make the proper and safe play of the game impossible. This will first be governed by any ERU and Rugby Alberta weather policies and then be governed by the discretion of the Match Official. Please review ERU Air Aware & Inclement Weather policy for details.
Where a game that has commenced cannot be completed due to circumstances beyond the control of either team.
Where a suitable match official is unavailable.
Once a match has commenced teams are obligated to fulfil fixtures and may not postpone nor cancel the game.
Teams must make EVERY attempt to fulfill a fixture. Should one side have low numbers BOTH teams are to follow Game On and ensure the match is played.
Teams may request to change the date, venue, or kick off time of an approved fixture.
All match changes requests must be emailed to FIXTURES@EDMONTONRUGBY.COM and must include the following:
Justification for the change request. Requests are not to be based upon the assumption that an automatic change will be approved

If a Quarter-Final is drawn:
Each team shall choose three (3) kickers from the athletes on the field at the conclusion of the game, to drop kick at goal. All kicks will be preformed in the centre of the pitch, ~15m from the posts
The match official shall select the spot from which the kicks shall be taken.
To determine who kicks first, the referee organizes a toss in the same way as before the match
Kickers from each team will alternate. All kickers will kick and the team that scores the higher number of successful kicks out of three (3) shall be deemed the winner of the match.
If there is no winner at the conclusion of the six (6) kicks, teams will choose one (1) player that was on the field at the conclusion of the game to take all remaining kicks. This may include one of the first 3 kickers.
The kick will take place at the same mark and must be a drop kick. This series of kicks will end once one team has had a successful kick and the opponent an unsuccessful kick.
After the first kick at the 15m mark, subsequent kicks will be placed using the following:
If both kickers are unsuccessful twice, the kick will be moved 5m closer to the posts to a minimum of 10m.
If both kickers are successful, the kick will be moved 5m further from the posts
If a Semi-Final or Grand Final is drawn:
In the event of a draw during the Grand Final, the teams shall play one ten (10) minute Golden Point extra time shall be played. Teams will NOT switch ends during the 10-minute OT
Before extra-time starts, the referee organizes a toss in the same way as before the match. The first point scorer during extra time shall be declared the winner.
If there is still a tie at the conclusion of the overtime, the game will be decided by the Tie Break Procedure for Quarter-final games.
If the playing time of an abandoned match amounts to less than half of the match, then the game shall be rescheduled, the result of a shortened game would have no bearing on any league or other competition standings.
If the playing time of an abandoned match amounts to equal or more than half of the match, the score at the time of the match being abandoned shall be recorded as the final score. This regulation does NOT apply to games ended by the referee because of disciplinary problems on or off the field.
The score at the time that the game was finished shall be recorded as the final score.
League standings points will not be awarded to either side if evidence from the referee or League Commissioner proves (following Conduct Review Process) that one, or both teams participated in foul play which led to the match being abandoned.
Penalties for games abandoned due to foul play will be at the discretion of the League Commissioner.
In the event there is a problem with similar colour uniforms, the HOME team shall wear uniforms of contrasting colours.
The home team must provide two (2) game balls
The match score is to be reviewed with the Match Official by both teams.
If no accredited Match Official (MO) has been appointed or if a MO fails to show for a game, the two teams may agree upon and appoint a registered and certified MO. If they cannot agree, the home team appoints the registered and certified match official. This is in accordance with World Rugby Law (6.A.1). If no certified Match Official is available the game will not be played and the fixture will be postponed and rescheduled
If no accredited Assistant Referees are allocated to the match, each team must supply a "knowledgeable" touch judge.
