What? So What? Now What? Reflection Script:
My name is Bjorn Behrendt and this is my course reflection for Powerful Web Tools for School Libraries, that I took the Summer of 2010
This class introduced us to many of the newer web2.0 tools that can be used in schools. Each week we created a project using a new 21st century application or concept, like blogs, wiki's, rss, and glogster; then evaluated how it could be used in the school.
It has always been my nature to evaluate new tools that I heard about. I have been doing it since college and even built a personal website AskBj.net showcasing what I have found. When I took this class many of the tools introduced were ones that I have already known about and use.
While for me the class may have been redundant I think the concept holds great value and I would encourage every one of my peers to take the class. I feel very strongly that even if a teacher doesn't use an application they should at least know it exists.
Thank you and have a good day.
