*The upright Bass is currently not offered in elementary school*
If you wish to play the Bass in middle school, you will begin with Cello and can switch to Bass in 6th grade
All String Instruments come in different sizes depending on the height of the player, so do not be discouraged by the size of an instrument!
You can learn more about instrument sizing in the instrument rental section, and a size chart will come with your instrument acceptance letter.
